Boosting its local production capability, RHI Magnesita commissioned its new Purge Plug making unit at the Bhiwadi plant in India. The unit has been developed as part of a technology transfer arrangement with its Urmitz plant in Germany. This initiative will enable the company to serve its customers better by significantly reducing lead time and providing more tailored products.
Inaugurating the new unit, Parmod Sagar, MD & CEO of RHI Magnesita India said, “This is a significant milestone in our strategy to enhance local production capabilities. The facility has come up adhering to all the Global standards we have after complete technology transfer from our German plant. We would be able to serve our customers much faster now while fulfilling their Purge Plug requirements and make customization quicker. This success gives us confidence to work more on technology transfer projects and strengthen our operations in the Indian plants to service our customers in India with more efficacy.”
