RHI Magnesita team, in collaboration with our customer JSPL Angul, achieved the highest ever NOF (New Oxygen Furnace) campaign life of 500 heats recently. The campaign named NOF Mission 500 breaks the previous record of highest 468 heats completed a few months back.
Despite challenges in terms of irregularity of charge mix, inconsistency of operational parameters and selection of appropriate refractories, our team was able to accomplish the mission successfully. To overcome these challenges, in close coordination with customer, our team took significant measures like optimization of maintenance mixes quality and quantity, changes in the repair regime like eBT change, shell change etc. and investment in state-of-the-art equipment.
