RHI Magnesita participated in the International Conference on "Resource Efficiency & Circular Economy of the Mineral & Metal Sectors" organized by the Indian Institute of Metals Delhi Chapter as a part of the 13th edition of International Exhibition and Conference on Minerals, Metals, Metallurgy and Materials Expo (MMMM 2020) during August 25-27, 2022, in New Delhi. The conference aims towards charting our long-term strategy to promote circular economy by evolving environment-friendly, energy efficient and cost-effective strategies and policies.
Parmod Sagar, MD & CEO of RHI Magnesita India, took part in the panel discussion of leaders, experts and technologists from metal and mineral industries. During the discussions, he presented various initiatives taken up by RHI Magnesita Globally and in India to live up to its commitment towards achieving 15% reduction of CO2 emission by 2025. He highlighted the recycling efforts of the company for circular economy and presented the major challenges faced by the refractory industry. During his presentation he emphasized upon the need for building close collaboration between refractory makers like RHI Magnesita, customers from Steel and Cement industry to create an environment where recycled and low CO2 score products are valued and there is a willingness to invest in green products which has its own process cost.
Our Regional Head of Recycling, Jaydeep Bagchi also presented a technical paper on the Recycling and Circular Economy Solutions of RHI Magnesita.
