With the acquisition of Dalmia OCL (DOCL), the joint venture between DOCL and Europe’s specialty monolithic company, Seven Refractories, will now be operating under the name of RHI Magnesita Seven Refractories Ltd. and will continue to supply the thriving Indian iron, steel and cement industries with the most advanced refractory monolithics.

About the joint venture
In 2016, Seven Refractories entered into an agreement with Dalmia Bharat Group to develop and supply a wide range of monolithic refractories for the Indian market. In 2018, both partners saw the need of having local production and committed to set up a modern monolithic production site, which was launched in 2019 in Katni (in the State of Madhya Pradesh) with the capacity of 45,000 MTPA. The plant is well-equipped to supply materials and engineering solution for industries like Iron & Steel, Cement, Power, DRI, Iron Ore Palletization, Non-ferrous etc. With multiple state-of-the-art shotcrete and gunning machines and technical expertise, it offers several customized solutions.
